Wix and Alibaba have entered a strategic partnership designed to accelerate global growth opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across more than 200 countries. The collaboration is set to simplify international trade and expand digital commerce capabilities for merchants and suppliers through a suite of integrated solutions.
Central to the partnership are three initiatives. First, the Alibaba Seller App will be integrated with the Wix Marketplace, enabling Wix merchants to become Global Gold Suppliers and access Alibaba’s global wholesale network. Second, a curated sourcing marketplace, powered by Alibaba, will allow Wix merchants to discover suppliers, explore new products, and diversify inventory with reduced risk. Third, Alibaba sellers will gain access to Wix’s advanced AI platform to create direct-to-consumer (D2C) and business-to-business (B2B) storefronts.

By combining the strengths of both platforms, the partnership creates a powerful cross-platform ecosystem that addresses key growth challenges for SMEs. Product synchronization and onboarding processes will be automated, eliminating friction typically associated with cross-border trade. Additionally, planned developments include AI-powered product discovery and intelligent product-matching tools, reflecting a forward-looking, phased rollout strategy.
The integration aligns with Wix’s broader goal of evolving beyond website creation into a full-service business platform. Through Alibaba’s extensive global network of verified buyers, including retailers and distributors, Wix enhances its value proposition for merchants seeking seamless entry into international markets.

For Wix merchants, becoming Global Gold Suppliers via the Alibaba Seller App offers a streamlined route to wholesale trade, with synchronized product listings and orders, reducing the complexity of international selling. Meanwhile, the sourcing marketplace enables merchants to test new offerings and build private-label lines.
This partnership positions Wix to better compete with other major e-commerce platforms by merging D2C capabilities with Alibaba’s global sourcing infrastructure. It signifies a major step toward providing comprehensive, scalable solutions for businesses seeking international growth.
