The Vietnam–China International Trade Fair opened in the northern Vietnamese province of Tuyen Quang on December 12, forming part of a national trade promotion program and coinciding with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hoang Anh Cuong, Director of the Tuyen Quang Department of Industry and Trade, said the fair is significant in translating cooperation agreements among border provinces into concrete outcomes.
He noted that the event also aims to create new linkages in trade, tourism, logistics, and investment between the two neighboring countries.

The six-day fair features more than 240 booths operated by enterprises from Vietnam and China. Exhibits include agricultural products, medicinal herbs, machinery and equipment, consumer goods, handicrafts, as well as information on investment, trade, and tourism opportunities.
The event also provides a platform for Tuyen Quang to showcase its One Commune, One Product (OCOP) program, highland specialties, and its potential for industrial and logistics development following recent administrative restructuring.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan said Vietnam and China share a long-standing history of cooperation. He highlighted that despite global economic uncertainties, bilateral trade continues to record positive growth, remaining a bright spot in overall relations.

He described the fair as a practical example of joint trade promotion through an alternating hosting mechanism. Beyond sustaining traditional cross-border trade, he said the initiative helps expand cooperation in logistics, warehousing, services, transportation, and tourism.
Representatives from China’s Chuxiong Yi Prefecture in Yunnan Province and Baise City in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region praised Tuyen Quang’s role in facilitating cross-border trade.
They described the fair as an effective bridge for increasing trade volumes, expanding market access, and strengthening business cooperation between enterprises from both sides.
