The 2025 Vietnam Export Promotion Forum kicked off in Hanoi on November 26 with the theme ‘Go Global – Winning Global Markets.
Jointly organized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and initiatives supported by the Swiss government, the forum centers on strategies to strengthen the competitiveness of Vietnamese exporters amid shifting global supply chains and rising trade competition.
According to the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade), exports remain vital to Vietnam’s growth and global integration. Yet shifting supply chains, green transition, digitalization, post-pandemic changes, and stricter standards are pushing businesses to upgrade quality, add value, build brands, and pursue sustainable development.

The 2025 forum serves as a key platform for dialogue, gathering policymakers, experts, trade promotion bodies, and enterprises. It will examine new global trade trends, share practical insights on expanding markets, and discuss how to leverage next-generation free trade agreements.
The forum will also emphasize advancing digital transformation with artificial intelligence to enhance export efficiency.
According to Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Trade Promotion Agency, Vietnam’s strong economic openness creates substantial opportunities to grow its market share, diversify export markets, and integrate more deeply into global value chains. He pointed to major destinations such as the United States, the EU, Japan, the Middle East, and Africa as markets with considerable untapped potential.

Experts at the forum called on Vietnamese manufacturers and exporters to focus on three key pillars—process standardization, traceability and transparency, and digital transformation—to widen their global presence.
The event will also support business networking and partnership building. These efforts are expected to help Vietnamese enterprises boost adaptability, enhance competitiveness, and broaden their international reach.
