Nigeria and China are set to deepen their economic ties with the upcoming 2025 edition of the China Commodities Expo-Nigeria (CCE).
The expo is organized by the Trade Development Bureau of China’s Ministry of Commerce and Brightway International Exhibition, with support from multiple Chinese provincial governments and the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria. The annual trade fair is scheduled to take place from November 5 to 7 in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The expo will bring together importers, exporters, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers to forge new business connections, attract foreign direct investment, and spur job creation.
The expo has emerged as a major platform for fostering bilateral trade and investment opportunities. Organizers indicate that this year’s edition is expected to draw participation from over 250 Chinese manufacturers and more than 5,000 business delegates from various industries across Nigeria and other parts of Africa.
Muheez Ojulari, Chief Representative Officer of Brightway International Exhibition, described the expo as more than a simple marketplace. “This expo is not just about trade; it is about building bridges of opportunity that connect Nigerian entrepreneurs with global supply chains,” he said.

The exhibition will showcase a wide variety of products spanning major industries such as automobiles, machinery, building materials, textiles, electrical goods, renewable energy, agricultural equipment, and consumer electronics. According to the organizers, the expo will provide free admission and include a dedicated B2B meeting space to encourage effective face-to-face interactions between Chinese manufacturers and Nigerian businesses.
The expo also receives backing from a range of public and private stakeholders, including the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), NASME, SMEDAN, ASBON, and NASSI, as well as state chambers like those in Sokoto and Ogun. Other partners include associations such as ASPAMDA, NATA, and CAPDAN.
Since its inception in 2007, the China Commodities Expo-Nigeria has grown into one of the nation’s largest and most significant trade events. The 2025 edition arrives amid expanding trade between the two countries.
