The Ministry of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Tay Ninh Province, hosted a major international trade conference that brought together more than 140 enterprises from 25 countries and territories, alongside leading global distribution and e-commerce corporations.
The event provided an important platform for Tay Ninh and the wider regional business community to strengthen linkages, expand markets, and enhance their ability to integrate into global supply chains.
In her opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang praised the strong participation of both domestic and international enterprises, noting that the turnout exceeded expectations. Prominent corporations such as Central Retail, Aeon, Walmart, Lulu, Amazon, Coppel, and Alibaba were in attendance, underscoring the province’s growing role as a hub for international connectivity.

Phan Thi Thang highlighted Tay Ninh’s advantages in planning, infrastructure, and development opportunities, supported by Vietnam’s overseas trade office network. With the active involvement of 27 overseas trade offices, she said the province is well-positioned to develop into a regional hub for supply chains, logistics, and e-commerce. She urged local businesses to strengthen professionalism, diversify markets, leverage free trade agreements, invest in logistics infrastructure, accelerate digital transformation, and expand international linkages through public–private partnerships.
At the conference, Ta Hoang Linh, Director of the Department of Overseas Market Development, outlined the country’s export outlook for 2025. He set a target of 12% growth, driven by a shift toward higher value-added and deeply processed products. The agro–aquatic sector, he noted, has continued its strong performance in the first half of the year. Linh also pointed to opportunities from Vietnam’s 17 free trade agreements, global supply chain diversification, and commitments to green transformation, while warning of challenges such as geopolitical uncertainty, rising protectionism, and stricter environmental and social standards in key markets.

For Tay Ninh, Linh stressed the potential of its key industries, rubber, cassava, and cashew, combined with improving border-gate and logistics infrastructure, which could enable the province to become a leading processing and export hub. He proposed measures including close market monitoring, support for green and circular economy compliance, maximizing FTAs, market diversification, and greater use of overseas trade offices to build direct connections with major distribution groups.
The conference also featured debates on market prospects, e-commerce trends, and supply chain requirements. Leading corporations, including Aeon, Central Retail, Lulu, Walmart, and Amazon, held direct dialogues with local enterprises, focusing on sourcing needs and quality standards.
A series of memoranda of understanding was signed between Tay Ninh Province and international partners, paving the way for expanded cooperation in trade, investment, and logistics. In addition, B2B networking sessions and on-site survey programs were organized, enabling local enterprises to gain practical insights and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
