The Saudi Export Development Authority organized a trade mission to Syria on 1 December, bringing together more than 65 Saudi companies from the goods, services, and export and re-export house sectors.
The two-day mission in Damascus included representatives from several Saudi government entities, among them the Ministry of Investment, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, and the Saudi Export-Import Bank.
Syria’s Ministry of Economy joined the meetings, supported by financial institutions such as the Saudi French Bank and Al Baraka Bank Syria.

The mission reflects Saudi Exports’ ongoing effort to expand trade opportunities for national companies by opening direct channels with regional markets and enabling exporters to form partnerships that support non-oil export growth.
The program includes intensive bilateral meetings between Saudi firms and their Syrian counterparts to assess market needs, explore cooperation opportunities, and establish commercial relationships that can strengthen the presence of Saudi products and services in Syria.
This visit follows the growing momentum in cooperation between the two countries. Saudi Exports participated in the most recent Damascus International Fair under the slogan ‘We are Alike,’ alongside multiple government bodies and more than 80 national companies, aiming to deepen trade and investment ties.

Such engagements lay the groundwork for broader joint work by improving direct communication between companies on both sides and creating avenues for promising commercial and industrial partnerships that reflect the depth of bilateral relations.
Saudi Exports continues to support national companies in accessing regional and global markets through programs designed to enhance product competitiveness and increase the share of non-oil exports in the Kingdom’s non-oil GDP, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
