Filipino exporters are expected to strengthen their position in global markets with the introduction of two digital platforms aimed at improving trade compliance and expanding international buyer access.
The Origin Management System (OMS) and PHX Source will be launched at the National Export Congress (NEC) on December 4, 2025, at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel.
The OMS is a web-based system that digitizes the processing and issuance of the Product Evaluation Report (PER), a key requirement for exporters seeking preferential tariff rates under the Philippines’ free trade agreements and Generalized System of Preferences schemes.
The platform, developed in partnership with the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), is designed to replace manual procedures, reduce processing time, and help exporters meet rules-of-origin obligations under multiple trade agreements.

Complementing this is PHX Source, an online export directory built with QSweep Tech Services. It is intended to increase the global visibility of Philippine exporters and connect them with potential buyers across regions and sectors.
DTI-Export Marketing Bureau Director Sykimte said the platforms are intended to help businesses compete more effectively. “The OMS and PHX Source help exporters compete, connect, and collaborate across borders,” she said.
At the NEC, the Department of Trade and Industry – Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) will also outline export promotion programs for 2026, aligned with the Philippine Export Development Plan (PEDP) 2023–2028.

DTI Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo will present the outcomes of PEDP’s midterm review, addressing progress, challenges, and required interventions to sustain export expansion.
The congress will conclude with the Exporters’ Awards Night, recognizing companies whose export performance, innovation, and resilience have contributed to national economic growth.
The NEC serves as the culminating event of National Exporters’ Week (NEW), held from December 1 to 4 under the theme ‘Making Waves: Exporters Driving the Nation Forward.’

Activities include workshops, capability-building sessions, and Usapang Exports forums on supply chain solutions, financing, customs processes, intellectual property, digital trade, sustainability, and competitiveness.
PHILEXPORT President Sergio Ortiz-Luis Jr. emphasized support for micro, small, and medium enterprises, calling exports ‘our best investment’ and highlighting the need for sustained ecosystem support.
An Exporters’ Exhibit will showcase diverse Philippine export goods and services, including innovative food products, lifestyle merchandise, and high-value service offerings.
The 2025 National Exporters’ Week is organized by DTI-EMB, the Export Development Council (EDC), and PHILEXPORT, with support from partner government agencies, institutions, and business organizations.
