COSCO SHIPPING has completed the handling and dispatch of the first batch of special exhibits from New Zealand and South Pacific Island nations for the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE).
The container vessel M.V. COSCO FELIXSTOWE departed fully loaded from Auckland on 20 September and is expected to arrive at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port in mid-October. The 8th CIIE will take place in Shanghai from 5 to 10 November.
As the officially recommended international logistics provider for CIIE for eight consecutive years, COSCO SHIPPING Lines oversaw the end-to-end movement of the shipment, following its service principle of “We Deliver Value.”

The cargo includes a broad selection of regional products. New Zealand’s contribution features dairy goods, alpaca fiber items, ice cream, health supplements, and natural mineral water.
The South Pacific island nation of Niue has supplied health supplements, natural fruit beverages, coconut oil, and traditional handicrafts.
Ms Zhou, Head of the CIIE Working Group at COSCO SHIPPING Lines (New Zealand), said the expo offers an important gateway for businesses from New Zealand and the South Pacific to reach China’s vast consumer market.
She noted that COSCO SHIPPING provided tailored logistics support covering cargo collection, cold-chain management, maritime transport, customs procedures, and final delivery to the exhibition venue, ensuring the exhibits arrive safely and on time.

The shipment comes as China and New Zealand continue to strengthen trade ties, supported by the 2021 upgrade protocol to their Free Trade Agreement.
COSCO SHIPPING remains a key operator in this relationship, running four container shipping routes in New Zealand and serving the ports of Auckland, Lyttelton, Napier, Wellington, and Tauranga.
With this latest consignment, COSCO SHIPPING underscores its role as a major international logistics provider and says it will continue offering reliable supply chain solutions to help more specialty products from New Zealand and the South Pacific reach China and wider global markets.
