The World Bulk Wine Exhibition will return to the RAI Amsterdam convention center on November 24 and 25 for its 17th edition, bringing together more than 240 exhibitors and industry representatives from over 60 countries. Organized by Vinexposium, the event remains the largest international meeting point for the bulk wine and spirits sector.
Spain is set to maintain its central role. The country continues to lead global bulk wine exports, accounting for almost 40% of worldwide volume. During the first half of 2025, Spanish producers shipped six million hectolitres of bulk wine worth 302 million euros.
Higher prices, up 12% year-on-year due to a smaller global harvest in 2024, helped support export value. New Zealand and Italy remain competitive in second place in export value, while Australia has recorded a 15% rise in shipments to the United States.
Spanish exporters have kept volumes stable while improving profitability through a model focused on competitiveness, sustainability, and quality.

Bulk wine has become increasingly important in global trade. For more than 15 years, the WBWE has contributed to the expansion of this segment, which is now seen by major buyers and premium brands as a practical and responsible option.
Growth is being driven by alternative packaging formats such as bag-in-box, cans, and kegs, as well as by rising demand for no- and low-alcohol beverages and ready-to-drink products. Bag-in-box packaging is gaining popularity in Spain, where it fits changing consumption habits and home-use demand.
This year’s exhibition will offer wineries several dedicated spaces to navigate a complex global market. The Silent Tasting Room will allow attendees to sample bulk wines and spirits independently.
The Academy program will provide conferences and master classes on logistics, dealcoholization technologies, reducing packaging carbon footprints, and the role of oak in winemaking.

Ahead of the main event, the International Bulk Wine Competition will take place, where a panel of buyers and specialized journalists will blind judge entries.
In 2024, the WBWE welcomed 245 exhibitors from 25 countries and nearly 2,000 visitors from 70 countries, alongside ten conferences and master classes.
The 2025 opening ceremony will feature a keynote by Giorgio Delgrosso of the International Organization of Vine and Wine, Rafael Del Rey of AWM, and Vinexposium’s Laurent Bos. The program begins at 9.15 am with guest arrivals, followed by the keynote at 9.30 am, a ribbon-cutting, and a tour of the exhibition hall.
As the bulk wine industry navigates shifting global conditions, the Amsterdam gathering remains a crucial forum for business and knowledge exchange.
Spain’s continued leadership highlights its ability to adapt and maintain quality and sustainability, with the WBWE expected to reinforce current market trends and open new opportunities for producers and buyers worldwide.
